Mrs. Minnie Evans of Troy died Tuesday, Decemberr 7, 2010 at her residence. She was 78. Funeral services for Minnie Evans will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 9, 2010 at Cathedral of Praise Assembly of God Church with Rev. James Smith and Brother Jessie Peacock officiating. She will lie in state 1 hr. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Haw Hill Assembly of God Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation for Minnie Evans will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. Mrs. Evans was born September 10, 1932 in Opp, Alabama. She was a faithful member of the Cathedral of Praise Assembly of God Church and loved her children and grandchildren. She also liked to work in her flower beds. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband; Jim Evans, children; Jr. Ingram, Johnny Evans, Jerry Evans, sister; Betty Ann Adams, and a brother; Joe Inman. She is survived by 4 sons and daughters-in-law: Jimmy Dean (Linda) Evans, Troy; Keith (Betty) Evans, Valley, AL; Kenneth (Vanessa) Evans and Grover Evans all of Troy; 4 daughters and sons-in-law: Juanita Evans, Patricia (Eugene) Kilpatrick and Wanda (Freddie) Bradley all of Troy; and Polly (Jon) Youngblood, Deatsville, AL; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters; Liz Jordan, Eufaula, AL; John (Naomi) Inman, Phenix City, AL; Jeanette (Robert) Crosby, Columbus, GA; and Jeffery (Maryland) Inman, Brundidge, AL.
