Term limits needed for PSC

Who fully respects a watchdog with missing teeth? Our Alabama Ethics Commission has no subpoena power. If investigating public officials for misuse of office, they can only hope needed witnesses will testify.

Corrective legislation has passed the House several times but always gets stalled in or Senate Governmental Affairs Committee (chaired by Democratic Senator Mitchell). I can only conclude that the Democratic majority like it like this. I propose a change.

Term limits for legislators and the Public Service Commissioner are needed to better balance power of legislative office holders, and to better control influence of allied associates- parties with whom the State does business or regulates. This requires legislative action. So far it has not happened.
