Government feasts while the people in famine

I am writing this letter as a concerned citizen and I know many feel the way I do.
For last few years the property values have decreased in this country up to an average of 32 percent by 2010 and it is probably worse for Alabama.
We all know and feel the depression we are in, but it seems the government is tuned out. Our property taxes have increased every year since bob Riley hs been governor. It only seems logical that we would see some relief, but it seems our government is enjoying a feast while we the people are in famine.
I know the government needs the money, but they spend so much of it on wasted projects. I think they need to cut back, just as “we the people” are doing out here in the real world.
