Gentry, Mary Kate Welch, 76, a resident of Prattville, Alabama and a native of China Grove, Alabama died peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, with her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Chuck Holmes at her side. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Prattville Memory Gardens with Minister T. J. Pedigo officiating and Prattville Memorial Chapel Directing. Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Gentry; her father, Howell A. Welch, Sr., mother, Alice Hagan Welch; her siblings, Marie Eddins, H. A. Welch, Jr., Willard O. Welch, Nadine Oxford, Latitia Battle. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Gentry Holmes (Chuck); one sister in law, Annette Welch the wife of the late Willard O. Welch; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.
