Robinson joins staff at Messenger

Lindsey Robinson has joined the staff of Troy Publications as a news reporter.

Robinson, a graduate of the University of Florida, will be covering Pike County, courts and law enforcement, education, and general news and features, writing for the daily newspaper as well as the online edition as well as TroyLife magazine.

“We’re thrilled to have Lindsey join our staff,” said Stacy Graning, publisher. “She’s a bright, talented reporter and writer who has a delightful personality and a natural curiousity about the community and its people.”

Robinson graduated from the University of Florida in 2009 with a bachelor’s in journalism. She was born and raised in Bessemer and likes to read, practice her Spanish and play Frisbee. She recently completed a six-month mission trip to Belize and did a brief stint in nursing school before coming to work for The Messenger.

“I’m so excited to be writing again, and I think I’m going to really love Troy,” she said.
