While the dynamic duo of Marcus Jackson and Reginald Foster continued their strong seasons, it was the air attack of Jerome Lawrence that helped lead Goshen (2-1, 1-1 2A Region 2) to a 45-7 win over Red Level (1-2, 1-1) Friday night.

The junior quarterback threw touchdown passes of 3, 82, and 10 yards all in the first half as Goshen raced out to a 33-7 lead at halftime.

Coming off a tough region loss to Elba, Goshen put up point early and often.

The Eagles got on the board first after forcing the Tigers to fumble on the first series of the game.

Goshen marched 45 yards down the field and capped off the drive with Foster scoring from a yard out for an early 7-0 lead.

The Eagles extended their lead on the next series with a 3-yard fade pass from Lawrence to freshman Deangelo Orum.

The second quarter started with a bang as Goshen added its third touchdown of the day.

Lawrence connected with Brandon Alford for an 82-yard pass and catch to take a 21-0 advantage.

The Tigers tried to claw their way back with a 38 yard touchdown scamper from OJ Magee.

However, their momentum was short-lived.

Just two plays after Red Level scored, the Eagles answered.

Freshman Deion Merritt raced up the middle 63 yards for a touchdown.

The Eagles got one more score before the half as Lawrence and Alford hooked up for their second TD of the day on a ten yard pass.

Foster added an 11-yard TD run in the third, while freshman Corey Berry ended the scoring with a 6-yard TD in the fourth quarter.

Goshen will be on the road next week as it travels to New Brockton.
