Mr. Dale Walley age 76 of Troy died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 3:00 pm from the First Presbyterian Church of Troy with Reverend Michael Alsup officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Walley received his bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was the hospital administrator at Edge Memorial Hospital for 20 years prior to retirement in 1988; he then spent 12 years as a director of Medicaid in Montgomery and then retired after being commissioner of Medicaid for 2 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Troy, the Blue Masonic Lodge in Troy and was a 32 degree mason from the Montgomery Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Dean Walley of Troy, daughter and son-in-law Teri Walley and Ross Nethery of Gastonia, NC, son and daughter-in-law Robert and Nichelle Walley of Birmingham, his grandchildren Hannah Nethery, Amelia Walley, Houston Walley, and Jack Walley, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Willis L. and Carrie B. Weldy Walley, a brother and sister-in-law James H. and Wydell Walley, a sister Bettie Rae Sellers.
