Mrs. Anner Henley Brooks, age 89, of Troy died Thursday, August 05, 2010. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11:00 am at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Wiley McWhorter officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 6, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mrs. Brooks will lie-in-state Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 10:30 am until 11:00 am at the church.
She is survived by her daughter: Doris Bowen of Troy; 3 sons: Rex (Bobbie) Brooks of Troy, Max (Christine) Brooks of Troy and Pete (Sylvia) Brooks of Anniston; 11 grandchildren: Vickie Bowen, Jennifer and Jackie Hornsby, Jeanette and Darrin Johnson, Cody LaVorgna, Tim and Jennifer Brooks, Mike and Jessica Brooks, Richard and Jill Brooks, Jeff and Connie Brooks, Chris LaVorgna, Ashley Porterfield and Jay and Basheba Porterfield; 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband Bill Brooks.
Pallbearers will be Tim Brooks, Mike Brooks, Richard Brooks, Jeff Brooks, Chris LaVorgna, Ashley Porterfield and Jay Porterfield.
Memorials may be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund.
