In North Charleston, South Carolina, the Troy Pre-Minor team found themselves on the road a regional tournament Saturday.

And like it had down in the previous two rounds, Troy kept winning.

First off for the state champions from Alabama was a practice game against Iva, which Troy would win 12-0.

When that round was over and done with Troy took on North Wood in the first round, and like it did earlier in the day, it won big — winning 16-2.

“We are hitting the ball really well right now,” head coach Andy Blair said Saturday evening. “Everything is falling in line for us, right now.”

But even though things were going Troy’s way on Saturday, the coach knows that may not always be the case.

“We still have a very long way to go and there are some really good teams here. Hopefully, we will be able to keep it up.”

Troy will play again on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. against a team that had yet to be determined.
