Dorsey Hall

Mr. Dorsey E. Hall age 93 of Hendersonville, TN died Thursday, July 22, 2010 in Nashville, TN.
He was born on March 10, 1917 in Lyons, GA and was the last surviving sibling of a family of seven. During WWII he was in the Army-Air Corp and participated in the landing at Normandy as well as all major battles of the European campaign, serving in the 2nd Armored Division under General George Patton. After the war he enlisted in the Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1967 then went on to work for Civil Service for many years, where he again retired. He attended services at the Hendersonville Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ with Doug Miles officiating. He will be laid to rest, beside his wife, in uniform with full military honors in the Hamilton Crossroads Church Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.
Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to the service at the Church.
He is survived by his children Bobby D. (Joann) Hall of Arab, AL., and Betty Hall Harper of Hendersonville, TN., a daughter-in-law Debbie Hall of Hamilton, GA., sister-in-law Nadine Chalmers, of Tampa, FL., brothers-in-law Charlie Miles of Dothan and Dekalb Miles of Brundidge, 7 grandchildren Bobby Aaron Hall of Arab, Edward Brian Hall of Phenix City, Brian Harper of Hendersonville, Esther Harper Kaplan of Ft. Myers, Bridget Harper of Tempe, AZ, Loretta Harper of Nashville, James Harper of Nashville ,his great grandchildren Blake and Paige Harper of Greenbrier, TN, Brandon and Bailee Hall of Phenix City, and a great great grandson Bryce Mooring of Greenbrier, TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Miles Hall, a son Edward D. Hall, a grandson Kenneth Hall and his parents Elisha and Maude Dukes Hall.
