After winning its first game Saturday night against Eufaula, the Troy Angels took on Dothan in the third round of the Dixie Angels Tournament in Eufaula.

However, it was the opposing team that got the better end of Troy this time around.

Dothan was able to take a lead on Troy and didn’t stop, as it won 4-1.

“It was a good game,” Larry Sanders said late Monday night.

“We just needed a few more hits and it would have been a different game.”

The coach said he thought his team played very well, but just came up a little short.

“We played really well defensively and I thought we had a good game from our pitching. We just were unable to get some big hits,” Sanders added.

Troy will now take on Headland on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Eufaula.
