The Troy Tiger Sharks have already made a big splash this summer with its success in the water.

Over the past couple of days, the team continued to show no signs of slowing down.

On Saturday, the team played host to the Wiregrass Aquatics Club and Eufaula in a swim meet, and in the process was able to secure its second meet win in three tries.

“We have been swimming very well,” Shane Tatum said on Tuesday night.

“All the kids have done a great job of dropping their times and continuing to work hard.”

The team hit the pool again on Monday night in Andalusia, and while the Tiger Sharks didn’t come home with another win, Tatum said he still saw a lot of good things in the water.

“The kids continued to steadily drop their times, which is what you always want to see,” he said.

“Our confidence continues to build with every meet, and that is a good thing with our District meet, which is our biggest meet of the year.

“Hopefully, we will be able to continue what we are doing,” Tatum added.

The Tiger Sharks’ District swimming meet is in a little under three weeks.

While the results for Monday’s meet were not finalized by Tuesday, the results for Saturday’s meet show just how well the Tiger Sharks are swimming as of late, as the Troy team won over 30 of the different events.
