Man charged with rape, forcefully taking car
A 50-year-old man faces charges for the alleged rape of a local woman.
John Henry Foster was arrested last week on charges of rape first degree and the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, for an incident said to have taken place in late May, said Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage.
The victim reported the incident to the Troy Police Department on Tuesday, June 1, alleging the incidents took place two days prior.
Foster was officially charged with the crime June 3, and he has been taken to the Pike County Jail where his bond was set at $120,000 for both charges.
Rape first degree is a Class A felony, and if convicted Foster could face between 10 years and life in prison. Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle by force is a Class B felony, punishable between two and 20 years.
