Pennsylvania fugitive arrested in Troy

A Pennsylvania fugitive has been arrested in Troy after police were notified of his criminal charges Tuesday.

Mark David Brown, 41, was taken into custody around 4:45 p.m. in connection with a fugitive from justice charge, said Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage.

Everage said the Troy Police were notified through a teletype from the Pennsylvania State Police Brown may be in the Troy area. Warrant were obtained for his arrest, and he was located by Troy Police later that day.

Brown has two felony warrants and a misdemeanor charge pending in Pennsylvania.

He faces charges of indecent assault, aggravated indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

Brown waived extradition to Pennsylvania Tuesday in a Pike County District Court hearing.

He has been placed in the Pike County Jail.
