In a second round match up between 2A Area 5 rivals, the Rebels faced off with the Rebels.
Zion Chapel played host to Reeltown, and as it turned out, the two will be meeting again shortly.
The series is currently tied up at one game a piece thanks to both teams winning.
Reeltown took the first game, 17-9 while Zion Chapel won the second, 13-11.
“We beat Reeltown five of the six times we saw them this year,” head coach Lucas Davis said Friday night.
“But they are a very good team. They are hard to beat. When it comes down to it, they out hit us in the first game.”
In the first game, ZCHS had three different players hit home runs, as Will Bedsole, Blake Powell and Garret Stinson all went yard.
Bedsole finished the game going 4-4 at the plate, adding two doubles with the homer.
In the second game, Bedsole again went deep, thanks to a home run, and added three RBIs along the way.
Caleb Smith also played a part in the victory, going 3-3 at the plate with a double and four RBIs.
Samson Dismukes got the win for the Rebels from Coffee County.
“I am happy that we showed up ready to play (in game two),” Davis said.
“We battled back and were able to get the win. We knew coming into (to the series) that it was going to be a battle all the way through.”
The two teams are scheduled to play again today at noon at Zion Chapel, however, due to inclement weather, the game may be postponed until Monday.
