Chuck Thompson age 52 of Troy died Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Montgomery.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 26, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Jeremy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife Tracy Thompson of Troy, two daughters Lauren Thompson of Auburn, and Emily Thompson of Troy, his mother Grace Thompson of Lincoln, a sister and brother-in-law Alice and Mike Mullen of Troy, and a brother Jim Thompson of Birmingham.
He was preceded in death by his father Morris Thompson.
Chuck was born and raised in Birmingham; he later attended Auburn University and was an Economics professor at Troy University for nearly 30 years. Chuck was an avid musician, car enthusiast, and gun owner; he also loved to play golf, dominoes, and cards, and was a very dedicated fan of the Auburn Tigers.
Active and honorary pallbearers will be present and past members of the Men’s Golf Association at the Troy Country Club.
