CHHS softball defeats Baker

The Charles Henderson Trojans softball team head south this weekend to compete in the Orange Beach Invitational, which Gulf Shores High School is playing host to.

The Trojans were only able to get in one game on Friday, due to weather, but that game turned out to be a good one.

CHHS defeated 6A Baker, 10-3, and in doing so, improved its record to 18-17 on the season.

“We were strong at the plate (on Friday),” head coach Chad Lapp said. “Everyone was getting good, solid base hits.”

“The girls are coming together at exactly the right time,

“They are becoming more competitive, performing well in all aspects and doing everything they can to win,” the coach added.

The girls will be back in action today at 10:30 a.m. when it plays Elmore County.
