Staff Sergeant David C. Quincey has served in a variety of duty assignments starting at Fort Richardson, Alaska through the Joint Communications Support Element, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
SSG Quincey entered the service as an Airborne Infantryman on October 21, 2004 and served as an Ammunition Handler, Grenadier, Automatic Rifleman, Radio Telephone Operator, and a Rifle Team Squad Leader. In July of 2007 SSG Quincey attended the academically demanding Satellite Communications Systems Operator Maintainer Course and achieved excellence. SSG Quincey was selected for a follow on duty assignment at JCSE where he was currently performing the duty of Initial Entry/Forced Entry Communications Package Team Chief.
His operational deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom, a fourteen month tour supporting combat operations against known enemies of the United States. SSG Quincey had recently completed all pre-combat qualifications in preparation to return to the battle field for 210 days with his Teammates.
His military education includes: Combat Life Savers Course, Combative Course with Level 1 Certification, Basic Airborne Course, and the challenging Gryphon Group Security Solutions Course that stressed high threat personal tactical survivability, clandestine weapons, tactical evasive driving, and personal security detail operations.
His civilian education includes: 89 Semester Hours Completed towards a Bachelors Degree.
His awards and decorations include the Army Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal with campaign device, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 2 device. In addition, he has been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Basic Parachutist Badge, the Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver – Wheeled Vehicle, and the Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver – Tracked Vehicles.
SSG David C. Quincey is survived by his wife JoAnna, his children Deacon, Lillian and Preston, his mother Cynthia Sullivan and Step Father David Suillivan, his Father Dale Quincey and Step Mother Shelby Quincey, his brothers Marc, Phillip and Andrew and his sister Misty.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. With Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his honor to the March of Dimes.
