Mr. Lavaughn H. Adkinson of Troy died Monday, March 22, 2010 in at his home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverends Craig Holmes, and Chad Teal officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Two hours prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife Nellie Adkinson, a son and daughter-in-law Tony and Lee Adkinson of Donna, TX, Grandchildren Kristi and Brian Lauck of Visalia, CA and Chuck Adkinson of Montgomery, great grandchildren Micah Lauck and Troy Underwood, sister and brother-in-law Betty and Gerald Mitchell, nieces and nephews Kathy and Robert Manning, Grant and Audrey Adkinson, Vicki Rasmussen, and Kevin and Susan Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Claudie Adkinson, and a brother and sister-in-law Durward and Rosa Adkinson.
Active pallbearers will be Ray W. Floyd, Fred Watkins, Charles Barron, Robert Liggett, Dennis Heglar, and Robert Lee.
In lieu of flowers memorials in his name should be made to the God’s Way Baptist Church Missions fund, 1100 Elba Highway, Troy, Al 36079.
