James Lewis Davis age 82, of Luverne died Saturday, March 13, 2010. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with Evangelist Ben May, Billy Carter and Kayro Sipper officiating. Interment will follow in Elam Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife: Lucille R. Davis of Luverne; Children: Jaylylia Anne Davis Bruner and her husband James D. of Rockwell, NC, James L. Davis “Jim”, Jr.of Luverne, and Conrad Rhett Davis of Bedford, TX; 4 grandchildren: Mary Anne Bruner of Rockwell, NC, Justin Robert Conrad Davis of Wetumpka, AL, Sawyer Elizabeth Monroe Davis of Denver, CO, Dakota Anne Meleigh Davis of Montgomery, AL; 1 great-granddaughter: Jordan Alexis Fowler nephew Alan Leroy Davis and his wife Janice Paris Davis.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents: James Albert and Mittie Hester Davis, brother: Doyle Hester Davis; grandson: James Holland “Jimmy” Bruner .
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Fuller’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department or the American Heart Association.
