After Monday night’s come from behind win, Charles Henderson found themselves in the same kind of position Tuesday afternoon against Tuscaloosa County.

However, unlike Monday night the Trojans were unable to come out on top.

The Trojans’ nine-game winning streak was snapped on Tuesday, thanks to a 10-4 loss to the Wildcats.

“With the level of competition we play, losses are going to happen especially when you play some quality teams on the road,” CHHS head coach Derek Irons said Tuesday afternoon.

Chance Shaver got the loss for the Trojans, pitching just one inning, while giving up four runs.

“They took advantage of us early on in the game, and we were never able to come back,” Irons said.

“We certainly never want to lose, but hopefully this will be something that we can learn from and fix for the future.”

The loss drops CHHS to 12-3 on the season.

Jalin Lawson went 2-4 at the plate with a double and two RBIs while Mitch McLeod went 3-4 and scored a run.

The Trojans will be back in action today for a double-header at Thompson High School.
