Pike Liberal Arts was able to bounce back from their first two losses of the season on Monday night with a big win over a region opponent.

The Patriots traveled to Autuaga for a date with the Generals, but this game would not last very long thanks to a Patriots’ power surge.

PLAS won the game 15-4 in five innings thanks in part to the long ball and a pair of brother teammates.

Will Starling got the win for the Patriots, pitching three innings, striking out six and allowing just one walk and hit.

Starling’s brother, Josh, finished the game, pitching two innings, striking out one batter, while allowing three runs.

At the plate, the McLaughlin brothers, Nick and Justin, hit back-to-back home runs.

Nick, who finished the game 2-2, came up first and hit a three-run shot over the wall and not to be outdone by his younger brother, Justin came up next and hit a single shot over the fence.

Justin finished the game going 2-3 at the plate.

Trey Walters and Sam Carroll also went yard in the game.

Walters finished 2-3 with a home run while Carroll finished 2-4 with four RBIs thanks to a two-run homer and a two-run double.
