Services for Ethel Mae “Tate” Givens will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Grady, Alabama, with Rev. Samuel Green officiating.
Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Grady, Alabama, under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2010, at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy, Alabama.
Ethel Mae Givens was born the fourth child of William Thomas Bean and Ethel Dulaney Bean on January 18, 1944.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband, Willie Lewis Pollard; her children, James Carl Givens, Jr., Christopher Shawn Givens, Vicki Lynn Foster, Bradley Givens, Fredrick Givens, Denise Givens, Calressa McLendon (Ned), and Elisa Olds (Brian); her sisters and brothers, Sweetie Mae Jordan, Minnie Lee Cannon (Willie C.), Mary Ann Bean, Dorthy Merrit (James), and Willie Frank; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a special friend, Ethana Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.
