Betty Leverette Carter, age 86, a resident of Brundidge died Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 3:00 pm in Lakeview Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Hood officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her favorite cousin: Jane Leverette Senn of Pronto, 3 sisters-in-law: Mollie Evans of Columbus, GA, Maritta (Gerald) Findley of Gainesville, FL, Irene (Hilton) Carter of Brundidge, 4 brothers-in-law: Max Carter of Phenix City, Gene Carter of Columbus, GA, Jimmy (Martha Ann) Carter of Ariton and Billy (Jean) Carter of Troy; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband Richard Carter, parents, James and Robbie Leverette and step-mother Sallie Leverette, brother, James Robert Leverette and 2 sisters, Mary Frances Rogers and Dorothy Jim Lee.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and brothers-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be her friends at the R.E. Barr Nutritional Center and the Homemakers Club.
