Charles David Hightower, age 88, a resident of Troy, died Thursday, December 24, 2009.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Danny Arnold and Dr. Malone Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mr. Hightower is survived by his wife of 64 years Jane Greene Hightower of Troy; 3 sons, Charles David “Skip” Hightower, Jr. (Nancey) of Thomasville, GA, William G. Hightower (Judy) of Troy, Michael L. Hightower (Billie) of Jacksonville, GA; grandchildren, Molly Hindman (David), Lauren Michelle Hightower, Stephanie Nicholson (Wes), Mathew Lee Hightower (Nikki), Thomas Michael Hightower (Amanda), Timothy Hightower, Daniel S. Hightower (Courtney) and Ethan D. Hightower; great-grandchildren, Ellie Hindman, Will Hindman, Max Nicholson, Beck Nicholson and Hampton Nicholson, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hightower was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Effie Hightower and his brothers, Eugene Hightower and Malcolm Hightower.
Memorial may be made to Park Memorial United Methodist Church or Gideons Intenational.
