Barber, Donald Allan, 59, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 1:00 PM at The Church of the Holy Comforter with Rev. Drake Whitelaw officiating. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel and also at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Drucilla Barber. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Leanne Colley Barber; two daughters, Blake Aleyne Barber and Virginia Lee Barber, both of Montgomery; one son, Allan Colley Barber (Emily) of Montgomery, AL; one granddaughter, Addison Anne Barber; two sisters, Joy Barber of Montgomery and Jan Mason of Dallas, TX; brother, Dan Barber (Barbara) of Mobile, AL; special caregiver, Rhonda Barnes; special friends, Susie, Greg, Jeff and Taylor Parker and Beth Ann, Jason, Mackenzie and Ashlynn Smith. Pallbearers will be Jeff Parker, Greg Parker, Jason Smith, James Collins, Lynn McDaniel, Charles Noble, Matt Barber and Will Mason.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Larry Puckett Chevrolet. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Association of Alabama, P.O.
