Jury selected for trial Monday

Jury selection began Wednesday for upcoming jury trials in Pike County Circuit Court.

According to Pike County Assistant District Attorney Scheryll Harrison, who was representing the state during the jury selection, trials will begin Monday.

Harrison could not give details of the cases being tried.

Mark Gabriel Perry will be tried on charges of attempted rape first degree on Dec. 14.

Tuesday’s docket will be Christopher Edwards and Jerry Wayne Horn, both charged with distribution.

Gregory Wallace will stand trial on Dec.16 for rape first degree and incest.

Osshawn Burke will stand trial for rape first degree on Dec. 17.

According to Harrison, Angela Holloway pleaded guilty to theft first degree.

Holloway was one of two Badcock employees charged with stealing more than $200,000 from the store over a two-year period.

Harrison said Holloway will be sentenced Jan. 5, 2010.

Also pleading guilty was Quintez Reed, who is facing charges of first-degree rape.
