Services for Edna Belle Williams Miller, 98, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA, with interment following in Long Branch Cemetery. Mrs. Miller passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009, at her home in Cairo, GA.
Active pallbearers will be Tim, John W., Mark and Daniel VanLandingham, Philip Walters and Terry Qualls.
Mrs. Miller was born in Reno, GA, July 8, 1911, to the late George Hiram Williams and Edna Barzilla Jones Williams. She was married to Benjamin Tillman Miller February 21, 1937, who preceded her in death February 3, 1991. She was a homemaker and member of Long Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include; daughter, Barbara M. VanLandingham, Cairo, GA, and Judith M. and Jack Walters of Troy, AL; grandchildren and spouses, Timothy C. and Brenda VanLandingham, Cairo, GA, John W. VanLandingham, Jr., Cairo, GA, Mark G. VanLandingham, Nashville, TN, Daniel B. VanLandingham, Cairo, GA, Philip F. Walters, Greensboro, NC, and Ruth W. and Terry Qualls, Henderson, AL; great-grandchildren and spouses, David, Hannah and Rebekah VanLandingham, Cairo, GA, Dean, Allison and Audrey VanLandingham, Cairo, GA, Rachel Walters, Greensboro, NC, Matthew, Leah Grace, and Haleigh Qualls, Henderson, AL, Jessie and Steve Puciloski, Troy, AL.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Tillman Miller, parents, George Hiram and Edna Barzilla Jones Williams, brothers, John Russell, George Jr. and Walter and a sister, Josephine, six siblings died as infants or as children.
