“The chamber hosts event like “Breakfast with the Mayor” because it helps to keep chamber members involved and gives them an opportunity to ask any questions they have and the mayor to answer them himself instead of people speculating on the answers,” Barner said. “We are very blessed in Pike County to have the type of elected officials that we do, who are not untouchable and who work very hard to make Pike County a great place to be. We appreciate the effort by the Mayor to speak to the chamber members.”

So far the Chamber is expecting around 30 people to the event.

“We always have a packed house when our elected officials speak,” Barner said.

Barner said the Chamber would hold other events such as this in the months ahead.

“In a couple of months, we will host Mayor (Jimmy) Ramage and the Pike County Commission officials,” Barner said.
