Brundidge’s own Cornelius Griffin, who plays for the Washington Redskins, is in town to help with the meals he sponsors each year for people who may not otherwise have a Thanksgiving meal.
Griffin’s brother, Mark Griffin confirmed Monday night that Cornelius was indeed in town.
According to Brundidge Rotary Club Member Cot Wallace, the Rotary Club has been assisting Cornelius by passing out the meals from the past eight to 10 years.
“We’ve been (helping) since its inception,” Wallace said.
Wallace said meals would begin to be passed out around 10 a.m. today.
“We take out about 250 meals,” Wallace said.
Still, those who wish to may come to Brundidge Station and dine-in.
