Miss Goshen Rodeo pageant to be held Nov. 19 at Town Hall

Calling all ladies, near and far, the Goshen High School Ag Academy is sponsoring a Miss Goshen Rodeo Pageant in conjunction with the Professional Cowboy’s Association rodeo.

The pageant will be held Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. at Goshen Town Hall.

“The pageant will go in conjunction with the rodeo. It’s open to anyone statewide,” said Event Organizer Monica Law. “Any of the girls that are 18 and over will be eligible to compete for Miss Alabama Rodeo.”

There is a $25 entry fee for the pageant portion.

Age groups are: 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-21.

Girls in the 17-21 age group will be required to participate in the horsemanship event that will be held on Nov. 17, but the time is still pending.

Other age groups may enter just the horsemanship contest for an extra $10 or the photogenic competition.

Entry forms are due by Nov. 10 and can be picked up at Don Walker Western Wear, Pike County Extension Office, Pike Co-op and Goshen Co-op.

However, they will accept entries after the deadline, but there will be a late fee.

“We will accept entries until the day of the pageant, but there will be a $5 per event late charge,” Law said.
