Bertha Mae Jones
Services for Bertha Mae Jones will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Mt.Herman Missionary Baptist Church, Pike County, Alabama, with Pastor Johnnie Henderson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Pike County, Alabama, under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy.
Bertha Mae Jones was born the child of the late John Jack Boykins and the late Lula Mae Boykins on June 1, 1949.
She received Christ at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She met and married the late Wymon Jones and to this union three children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Jack Boykins and Lula Mae Boykins, and a husband, Wymon Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Ola Mae Jones, Terry Ann Jones and Michelle Jones; her brothers and sisters, Johnny F. Boykin, Gussie M. Grimes, Raymond Boykin, Edward (Yolanda) Boykin, Ruby Lois (Charles) Mincy and Cindy Faye Boykin; her grandchildren, RanQuale Jones, Victoria Jones, Leon Javoris Jones, Jacobi Jones, Delvechio King and Malcolm King; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
