Mr. Hubbard Howard Locklar, age 99, a resident of Troy, died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Reverend Carey Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Ramah Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2009 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mr. Locklar is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Novie Jordan Locklar of Troy; sister, Irene Jordan of Troy; 2 sisters-in-law: Collie Locklar of Banks and Elna Locklar David of Troy and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Locklar was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Carrie Locklar; 4 brothers: Dewey Locklar, Huey Locklar, Hubert Locklar and Hershel Locklar and 2 sisters: Alma Locklar Benton and Nelma Locklar Jordan.
Pallbearers will be Wade Locklar, Jack Jordan, Bobby Renfroe, Robert Price, Ronald Thompson, Jerry Gibson, Danny Knotts and Jerry Knotts.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Ramah Cemetery Fund.
