Funeral services for Mrs. Flois Medders Halpin, age 87 of Troy, formerly of Lineville will be Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Glenelle Halpin, Gerald Haplin and James Kimbrough officiating.
Burial will follow in Lineville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Halpin passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She lived her early years in Calhoun County but had lived most of her life in Clay County.
She had worked at Higgins Manufacturing Company for over 35 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lineville.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Kimbrough (James) of Troy; one son, Gerald Halpin (Glennelle) of Auburn plus 10 grandchildren, 13 great grand-children and three 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Medders and Mary Latham Medders; her husband, Wallace Halpin; one son, Buddy Halpin; son-in-law, Jerry Hill and one sister and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be Mike Halpin, Mark Halpin, Cavin Hill, Cody Hill, Richard Rhodes and Dan Kimbrough.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 1 p.m. and until service time at 3:00 p.m.
