Mrs. Margie M. Knight, age 94, of Troy, AL. died Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Troy Health and Rehab in Troy.
Funeral services for Margie M. Knight was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2009, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Minister Jimmy Mathews officiating.
She lay in state from 9:00-10:00 a.m. one hour prior to the service.
Burial followed at Paron Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation for Margie M. Knight was held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.
Mrs. Knight was born April 18, 1915 in Pike County AL.
She was a seamstress in the manufacturing industry.
She was the daughter of the late Willis Clemie and Sarah Elizabeth Mills Wilson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Erbie Knight and 2 sons, Willis Richard Knight and James Russell Knight.
She is survived by 3 granddaughters and spouses: Deabron (Bobby) Sexton, Little Oak; Sandra Brown, Troy; Patsy (Tommy) Scarbrough, Troy; 1 grandson and wife: Paul and Joanna Knight, Little Oak; daughter-in-law: Sara Knight, Troy; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Sexton, Tommy Scarbrough, Paul Knight, Steve Wilkes, Roger Parker and Ronnie Knotts. The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
