Doug Williams and Puddle Duck Labs near Banks will be a part of the 4th Annual Southern Deer and Turkey Expo in Dothan Aug. 21-23.

The Expo will be held at the National Peanut Festival Grounds and Williams’ retriever demonstrations will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

“We will be doing dog demonstrations all three days and also have a booth inside for our sponsors.” Williams said. “We’ll be showing one of our new dogs for the first time. ‘Mac the Vac’ sucks up the birds and bumpers. She is one awesome, black female. She will be used for shows like this along with Tuff.

“For two years old, she ‘smokes.’ And Tuff, well, he is tough.”

Both “Mac the Vac” and “Tuff” will be at the Puddle Duck Labs booth and Williams said everyone is invited to stop by and visit with them.

“Michael Wadell from Real Tree and Bone Collector will be there all day Saturday for those who want to see him and hear him speak,” Williams said. “The shows are a lot of fun and there will be a lot going on and a lot to see.”

The Southern Deer and Turkey Expos will feature vendors inside and out the Festival area. Equipment and gear for hunting and fishing will be on display, as well as campers, boats, ATVs and trucks.

There will also be archery competitions starting Friday night and running throughout the weekend.

While the adults are browsing, buying, and enjoying the many events, children can find amusement in the recreational area filled with activities for all ages.

The children’s area will include an inflatable world, including a castle and an obstacle course and a bungee basketball course. The children’s area will also have a rock climbing wall, a laser target system, a children’s’ archery shoot, and paint ball. Admission is charged but parking is free.
