Mr. Buck Sneed, age 67, of Shiloh Community, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Graveside Services for Buck Sneed will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Averyt Walker and Rev. J.C. Turner officiating with full Military and Masonic Rites. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy. Visitation for Buck Sneed was held from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.
Mr. Sneed was born February 22, 1942 in Pike County, Alabama. He served 30 years in the Army and the Air Force National Guard. He was a member of the Banks Masonic Lodge and the Troy Shrine Club. Mr. Sneed was a Pike County Cattle Farmer.
Buck Sneed was preceded in death by his parents, Elford and Curlie Mauldin Sneed, granddaughter, Amber Lockley, 3 brothers, Leon, Marvin and a twin brother, Buddy,
1 sister, Pearl Dansby.
He is survived by his wife: Marie Haisten Sneed, Shiloh Community; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Timothy and April Sneed, Troy; Terry and Kay Sneed, Shiloh Community; 2 daughters and husband: Tammy Sneed Lockley, Shiloh Community; Tracey and Rusty Burnham, Jay, FL; 7 grandchildren: T.J., Taylor, and Tyler Sneed, Alecia Lockley, Gracie Sneed, Jacob and Brittany Burnham, 2 step grandchildren: Kayla and Kaitlin Garrett.
