The final tournament team for the 2009 season has been released and the 2009 Dixie Boys 13-year-old Tournament Team is set. The brackets for all of the softball sub-district tournaments have also been determined.

The 13-year-olds playing tournament ball include, Brian Adams, Chandler Avant, Tripp Blackmon, Blake Craft, Nathan Fox, John Johnson, Taylor Lord, Myles Loving, Morgan Shaver, Chase Smartt, John Michael Stephens and Rhett Tucker.

The 13-year-olds open sub-district play July 6 in Troy.

Also released Thursday were the tournament brackets for the Dixie Belles, Dixie Ponytails, Dixie Angels and Dixie Darlings.

The Belles tournament taking place in Troy will begin June 26 with Eufaula taking on Southdale at 6 p.m. and Troy taking on Abbeville at 8 p.m.

The tournament is double elimination and continues Saturday and runs through possibly Wednesday of the next week.

The Troy Ponytails will travel to Southdale and begin play June 26. Troy faces Eufaula in the first round at 8 p.m. Dothan Blue will face Southdale at 6 p.m. The tournament is also double elimination and could continue through Wednesday.

The Troy Angels drew a bye into the second round of the tournament in Dothan. Eufaula faces Headland at 6 p.m. June 25 and Abbeville plays Dothan at 8 p.m. The winner of the Abbeville-Dothan will face Troy at 6 p.m. June 26.

The tournament is double elimination and continues through June 30.

Troy’s Darlings tournament team will head to Luverne for a double elimination tournament that begins June 26.

Troy will face Eufaula at 6 p.m. and Brantley plays Luverne at 7:30 p.m. The tournament is double elimination and continues through June 30.
