Services for Wesley Kilpatrick, 65, of Banks who died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Troy Regional Medical Center will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Wiley McWhorter officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home of Brundidge.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 at the funeral home.
Mr. Kilpatrick had been with South Central Alabama Housing Authority for the past 25 years. He loved his family, fishing and mornings with the Banks Buy-Rite “Coffee Club”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Mary Lizzie “Polly” Kilpatrick and brothers, Melvin Kilpatrick and Willie Carl “Bill” Culpepper.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Debra Kilpatrick of Banks; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Charley Copeland of Banks; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Joanna Kilpatrick of Troy; Tim and Sherry Kilpatrick of Georgia and Paul and Rita Perry of Georgia; very special granddaughter, Liberty Kilpatrick of Banks; twelve other grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen, James Emory and Robert Kilpatrick of Banks; sisters, Mary Annette Johnson of Banks, Mavis and Berry Pittman of Banks and Hazel and Curtis Sellers of Clio; Godchild, Lakin Robertson of Rose Hill and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Hatfield, Al Roten, Lamar Livingston, Donnie Green, Leo Calhoun, Jimmy LeCroy, Mallory Slaughter, Lyndon Austin and Kevin Singleton.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of South Central Alabama Housing Authority.
