Family members and friends of the residents at Troy Health & Rehabilitation Center are invited to spend time with them when the facility hosts June Jubilee from 2 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 27.
“Those who don’t have family or acquaintances at Troy Health & Rehab but would like to help make the day special for our residents are invited to join us,” said Jeanette Baker, activities director.
An afternoon of fun has been planned for the residents and their visitors.
There will be games for the residents and games for the children who come.
The residents will have an opportunity to win tiny stuffed animals in a variety of games planned especially for them.
“The children will really enjoy Jama the Clown and the balloon animals that he makes,” Baker said. “The Moonwalk will be a lot of fun and will be a popular place for the children. Adults will have almost as much fun just watching the children.”
There will be free hotdogs and soft drinks, snow cones and cotton candy for those who participate in the June Jubilee.
Baker said there are still some residents who don’t have bird feeders outside their windows.
“Our residents really enjoy watching the birds come to feed and we would like for every resident to have a feeder,” she said. “They don’t have to be expensive feeders but we do need the larger shepherd’s staffs to hang the feeders on. These are inexpensive items, but they bring a lot of pleasure to our residents, and we would appreciation any and all donations.”
Everyone is invited to participate in June Jubilee at Troy Health & Rehabilitation Center on Sunday.
“Your presence will mean a lot to our residents,” Baker said.
