Mr. James Robert McLain, age 74, of Troy died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville Al. Funeral service for Mr. James Robert McLain will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel of Troy with Rev. Greg Aman officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Gardens of Memory Cemetery between Headland and Dothan, Alabama, with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Mr. McLain will lie in state at Skeen Funeral Home of Troy from 10 -11 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Mr. McLain was born May 12, 1935, in Dale County Alabama. Mr. McLain is preceded in death by his parents Robert Dewey and Vera Henderson McLain, his grandchildren Grace Elizabeth and James Christopher McLain, infant brother, sisters Inez Reeder and Irma Jewel Bass. He is survived by a wife: Darlene McLain of Troy, sons and daughters-in-law: Rick and Elaine McLain, Millbrook, Al; Roger and Melodie McLain, Danville, Al; a daughter: Kathy Ladbush, Baltimore, MD; grandchildren: Chase, Molly, Audrey, Ally, Chloe, Haylee, and Amy, a brother and wife: Bill and Diane McLain, Dothan, AL; extended family, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
