Services for Louis W. Bean, age 55, of Pike County, Alabama, who died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009, at Southside Baptist Church, Troy, Alabama, with Bro. Bo Weed, officiating.
Burial will follow at New Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Linwood, Alabama, under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy, Alabama.
Louis W. Bean was born on June 21, 1953 in Pike County, Alabama, to the late Alberta and Cody Bean.
He was united in holy matrimony with Wilma J. Bean.
On Thursday, April 29, 2009, Louis lost his courageous battle with cancer.
By His stripes, we are healed. He was an avid car and truck enthusiast.
Louis will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by Johnny, A.B., John Bean, and Ann Barnes.
Louis leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife of 26 years, Wilma J. Bean; his children, Virginia Duncan and Prometheus Henderson, Michael Hobdy, and Patricia Jones, all of Troy, Alabama, and Sandra (Jeff) Whatley; eight grandchildren; sisters and brothers, LexieRuth King, Mary (William) Bean of Anderson, Indiana, and C.P. (Carolyn) Bean of Troy, Alabama; sister-in-laws, Lois and Jessie Bean of Troy, Alabama; mother-in-law, Mary Frances Adams of Goshen, Alabama; and devoted friends, Mrs. Mary Finley, Hospice Advantage, and Southside Baptist Church family.
