The Goshen Lady Eagles may not have won the Class 2A, Area 5 tournament Wednesday, but the Lady Eagles beat Horseshoe Bend 3-1 in the first round of the South Regional Tournament Friday afternoon at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.

Goshen (17-9) scored two runs in the first inning and one in the fifth for the win. Horseshoe Bend (11-7) scored its lone run in the bottom of the sixth.
