Two local residents have been arrested on separate charges of drug distribution.
Jennifer Campbell, 24, who lives on County Road 2267, was taken into custody by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday and was charged with possession of marijuana first degree and distribution of marijuana, said Sheriff Russell Thomas. Campbell was arrested in an undercover operation, where she allegedly sold drugs to officers. Thomas said she also had marijuana on possession at the time.
She was arrested on County Road 2257, near Springhill, around 2:30 p.m. Campbell has since been released on a $20,000 bond.
The operation was assisted by the Troy Police Department and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office.
In an unrelated incident, Thomas said Stephanie Spurlock, a resident of Center Street in Troy, was arrested on a grand jury indictment on charges of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Spurlock, 23, has been released on a $10,000 bond.
