Stacey Marie Knighten
Services for Stacey Marie Knighten, age 34, of the Oak Bowery Community, who died Friday, May 1, 2009 will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy, Alabama, with Minister Floyd Noble officiating.
Burial will follow at Belser Cemetery, Oak Bowery Community, under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be a 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Stacey Marie Knighten was born in Pike County, Alabama, the daughter of Jim and Becky Knighten, on May 27, 1974. She attended Pike County schools and graduated from Goshen High School in 1992. After graduation, she attended MacArthur State Technical College, where she received her Barbering Certificate. Also, she was a CNA at Pike Manor Nursing Home in Troy. Alabama. She attended Mt. Olive Church of Christ, Troy, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Ellie Ruth Redmond Wood, and two grandfathers Robert Wood and Sidney Knighten.
Survivors include: her constant companion, Chico Van Knighten (her Boston Terrier), her parents Jim and Becky Knighten, sister Sherry Knighten (James Ming), brother Josh (Debi) Wood, nieces Jessica Knighten, Kodi Wood and Courtney Wood; aunts and uncles, Bonnie (Bernard) Pope, Billy (Peggy) Wood, Bobby (Sue) Wood, Joy (Herman) Griffin, Bubba (Beverly) Knighten, David (Barbara) Knighten, and Bonnie (Tommy) Stuckey; her grandmother, Minnie “Tiny” Lee; and many special cousins, other relatives an special friends.
Pallbearers will be Russell Tillery, Brad Knighten, Michael Wood, Bubba Knighten, Robbie Newman, Tavis Meeks and Billy Wood.
