No arrests have been made at this time, but Scarbrough said officers have been and will continue to follow leads.

“We have been talking to a number of individuals — witnesses, victims, anyone in connection with alleged incident,” Scarbrough said.

Scarbrough would not release details of what allegedly occurred or what the victim(s) were doing at the time of the incident, but he said no one was injured.

Jake Blocker, resident of Trojan Arms, said he heard arguing and screaming before he heard shots fired.

“I was getting ready to leave when I heard intense arguing outside, and I heard some lady scream, ‘Please don’t,’” Blocker said. “She started screaming for help, and just after she said ‘Somebody help me please,’ I heard three gunshots.”

On the scene, officers located evidence of gunfire, and a vehicle window was shattered.

Scarbrough said there are several individuals under radar in connection with the crime, but he would not say how many suspects police are seeking.

Scarbrough also would not say whether initial investigations show any connection between the alleged shooter(s) and the victim(s).
