Mr. Bill Starling, Jr., age 42, of the Enon Community, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. Funeral services for Bill Starling, Jr., will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Elder Cary Sanders and Pastor Jimmy Helms officiating. Mr. Starling will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ramah Primitive Church Cemetery in Josie under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy. Visitation for Mr. Bill Starling, Jr., was held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. He is survived by his parents: Charles W. and Ruby R. Starling, Enon Community; 1 daughter: Candace Starling, 2 sons: Trip Starling and Hunter Starling, all of Clayton, AL; 1 sister: Dawn Sawyer: Enon Community; brother: Jerry Starling, Louisville, AL; grandmother: Susie Renfroe, Brundidge, AL; nieces: Shea Sawyer and Vickie Sawyer, both of Enon Community; Fiancé: Wendy Hall, and her children Haley Hall and Trey Hall: all of Enon Community; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, special friends, Andy McRae, Louisville; Keith Hagler, Josie. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rufus Renfroe and grandparents, Charles and Hilda Starling. Bill Starling Jr., was born August 19, 1966 in Pike County, AL. He owned his own contractor-carpenter business in the building industry. His special interests included fishing and spending time with his children and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Andy McRae, Eric McRae, Terry Sneed, Henry Wentland, Nate Sneed, and Keith Hagler. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashley Hays. Jason Abercrombie, Josh Abercrombie, Mark Garrett, Terry Garrett, Stacy Stamey, and Greg Beasley. The family requests memorials be made to Ramah Memorial Cemetery Fund, 2104 County Rd. 6631, Banks, AL. 36005.
