Near the end of 2008, The Messenger released an All-(Pike) County Football team with an Offensive Player of the Year, a Defensive Player of the Year and a Coach of the Year.

Basketball fans and enthusiasts can expect to see the All-County boys’ and girls’ teams next Sunday in The Messenger sports section.

This special section will have a Boys First and Second Team and a Girls First and Second Team along with the Female Player of the Year, the Male Player of the Year and the Coach of the Year.

The teams will include athletes from the four teams in Pike County including, Charles Henderson High School, Pike County High School, Goshen High School and Pike Liberal Arts School.

The All-County teams will hit newsstands March 22.
