PCHS baseball, softball lose

The Pike County baseball team dropped a close game Thursday to the visiting Cottonwood Bears Thursday in Brundidge, 8-6.
Martin Larkin and Ryan Stroud led the Bulldogs (2-2) with two hits and two runs scored. Corey Lee had two hits and one run scored. Jacquez Walker had two hits, Cody Sanders had one hit and one run scored and Deion Nickson had one hit.
The PCHS softball team dropped a doubleheader to the Highland Home Flying Squadron on the road Thursday.
Heather Parker and Kayla Sneed each had one hit on the day.
Next up for the baseball team is the Eagle Invitational Tournament Mar. 6-7. The Lady Bulldogs travel to face Providence Mar. 9.
