Charles Henderson’s Trojans had a difficult weekend at home and on the road. The Trojans hit a two-game losing streak for the weekend with losses to Eufaula Friday night and Northview Saturday night.
On Saturday, CHHS lost 61-57 to previously winless Northview in Dothan. The Trojans could not hold onto an eight point advantage in the fourth quarter.
“We gave them their first win,” CHHS head coach Carl Hollis said. “We led throughout the whole game, but gave it to them in the fourth.”
Jabari Brown led the way for CHHS with 22 points. Jawara White had 10 points.
The Trojans lost 48-38 to Eufaula Friday night at home and Hollis said his team hung with the No. 2 Tigers for three quarters.
“We don’t have the stamina to run with teams a whole game,” he said. “And we are too uncoachable to realize that. You don’t keep running up tempo at teams when you can’t finish a game. Players have to be coachable to win games.”
CHHS Lady Trojans’ head coach Dyneshia Jones could not be reached for comment Saturday at press time.
The Lady Trojans took out Eufaula Friday night, but no score was available.
